Alzheimers.gov has assembled a great resource page for planning for the future after a dementia diagnosis. It covers health care planning, financial planning, long term care planning, and end-of-life planning. It explains acronyms you may run into. It provides easy to understand verbiage on terms like: living will, DNR order, living trust, durable power of attorney, Advance Directives and much more. It provides resources and tips. There is no time like NOW to jump in and take back control. It’s always too soon, until it’s too late.
