Caregiver Resignation Letter

The following is an incredible resignation letter that I received from one of our terrific caregivers. This is why we do what we do! I know that this young man will go far in the health care industry. He was one in a million and Apple Care and Companion (and our clients) were lucky to have him as a caregiver.

“Dear Laurie,

Please accept this letter as a notice of my resignation from my position as a caregiver. My last day of employment will be 7-29-2016.

It’s been my plan to get back to college to further my knowledge in the health industry and so when I got accepted to school, I could not wait to report to class. I needed a pathway that meant being able to gather as much experience, compassion and humility that comes with caring for those in need of our respective expertise.

I am extremely grateful for providing a platform for me to experience humanity and love with those that I got to spend my time with. I knew I wanted to be a part of Apple Care the moment I made that call. Your staff was a G-d send and I will never forget that. I will not leave without mentioning the lovely client I got to take care of. From Mr. and Mrs. “R” to Mr. “H” and the amazing Mr. “G”. They will forever be engraved in my memory.

I wish you and your staff all the best and I will definitely look forward to staying in touch with you since I might get involved with you through my undergraduate studies.
